Hulu is finally catching up to its contemporaries with a much-requested feature: offline viewing of its catalog of television shows and movies.
Support for viewing content from Hulu offline is a feature that's been a long time coming. Other video services, such as Netflix and Amazon Video, have had support for offline viewing of their libraries of content for some time, but Hulu's implementation will include an interesting caveat for some users: advertisements.
Hulu users that subscribe using the "limited commercial" plan will still be able to download content for offline viewing, but will also need to download advertisements alongside the content. Hulu has stated that the advertisements cannot be skipped by users either. Subscribers to the "no commercial" plan will not have advertisements attached to the content they download for offline viewing.
